Hey Max...Or Anybody That's "Upgraded" Their Excal Battery

I know a few folks on here have gone to Batteries Plus and had the Excal NiCad's upgraded to NiMH. Do they do that with the original battery pod, removing the NiCad's and replacing them, or do they do it with the alkaline pack? Naturally, I woul prefer the original battery pack to be upgraded.

I'm going to get in there and see them and get it done...I was hoping to do it today, but the yard work I started ran over, so I never made it. So what's the deal?

except the plastic shrink wrap was a different color. When you talk to them, make sure they put the thermo fuse on it too.

Have you ever done any testing with it to see how long it lasts on a full charge or do you just charge it up after every use?

Ron also hooked me up with a 'battery tender, jr.' which does a great job of fully charging the battery pack in 2 hours. It's a smart charger but I leave it on longer every fourth charge just to make sure the charge is completely topped up but that's it. No more battery hassles for me.
