Hey lookie here. White's has a new coil for the MXT/DFX/M6

http://whiteselectronics.com/super12.php

Dunno, may have to try one out.

another inch or so depth out of the MXT/DFX, what Whites needs is a solid replacement for the Classic series.

Its time to get back to basics with an improved design that operates in the 6-7 Khz range instead of coming out with $200.00+ coils that offer little improvement in performance. It seems that lately Whites is more interested in the "bottom line" than in offering improved detectors at reasonable prices.

Just my 2 zincs

When you are talking about getting a wiff of threashold change on a 10 inch target vs an audio response on the same. I would but it for 2 more inches in the NC sandy loom fields.

Such a big coil is restricted in where it can be used. Because of the concentric design, any amount of trash will make it impractical to swing. That rules out a lot of people. Second, the concentric design also makes it a non-starter in any real mineralization. Now, if they would have come out with a 15-18" DD coil there would be reason to get excited. All White's has to do is check out the Sunray 12" coil or the WOT, or even the Excellerators. Despite the size of these coils, they can still be used in moderate trash and at higher sensitivity.. even in bad ground. Sometimes ya gotta wonder. ...Willy.
