I looked up the area you are moving to, and all I can say is wow! I see this huge river shooting through the city. Kinda like Edmonton. I have found soooooo many great treasures silver, gold jewellery, musket balls, old axes etc etc etc on and off the trails running along the river. The river alone would keep you busy for years to come. Of course moving to a very old city has it's opportunities too. I wish I was down there with you bud.

With your proven determination and skills using a detector.....you will do well! :)

The river's Indian name means,"steep slippery banks". It is hard to get close to it. The locks and dams put the old shore line about 20 ft. under water. All the trails are old rail road grades. Bad MDing. I'm not daunted though. I know a lot of old home steads and a few old beaches on some small streams. Come on down for some winter MDing. You are the adventurous type. I'll drag your butt though some caves.:look:
I know of one cave that use to be a dance hall. They also gave boat rides on the lake in the cave.
