Hey! I found another gold ring yesterday!

It was just a small 10k gold ring but still.....Gold is gold.
It reads right there at the nickle range on the ACE250. I actually found it with my GT but since that only talks to me in tones (that's gonna take me years to master) I always check my finds to see where they read on the ACE250.
This is my 4th gold ring and so far and it seems that I only find gold when I go meterless. I wonder if the mineralized soil and the gold's halo causes my meter(s) to bounce around.

Interesting. I assuem you mean Sovereign GT, DOes teh meter matter? Well, yes and no. The detector can only show you where the conductivity ranges, with a VDI number a notch or a needle. It might be gold, or lead or aluminum or a nickel - it cant know.
