Hey guys need a quick opinion on the SD2200D

I have a chance to trade my brand new GMT with 4 hours on it + $300 for a SD2200D with the 11" Mono coil. I'm not completely unhappy with the GMT but a chance and getting a PI is what I've been trying to work toward. But is the 2200d worth it?

Thanks

I have and use a SD2200d and would not trade or sell it for twice what I payed for it ( new it was $3600 )
and yes I got it new. You will not believe how deep that machine will find stuff or how much some of the coils
for it cost. Yes it is a PI and yes it is very heavy, the battery weights right at 5#s and is carried in a pouch
on your belt and you will want to get an AMP for it so you can really hear it when it tells you there is a dime
at 24" ( or deeper ). Use a swingy thing to help with the weight, hitch that belt of yours up a notch or two,
psych your self out over the weight of that battery that is large enough to start your truck on a REAL cold
morning, MAN UP and make that trade be for it slips away like that long lost love you had for that redhead
that sat beside you in home room in high school when you found out she liked girls more than she liked guys!
Then head out for AZ. or Calif. or Alaska and really find out what hunting for gold is all about and I don't mean
rings!!!!!!

Go for it. I have an SD2200v2, it works and works well. I have the stock coil on mine.
I use mine mostly for gold, remember you dig at the beach you will dig deep.:yikes:
