Got up early today so I could get back home and watch the game. The hunt was a little short, as the thunder and lightning was getting too close. The gold gods must have taken pity on me, as the gave me 3 gold today....what a surprise. :)

We can go for 4. I hearby declare you ruined. You over the land hunting gig yet for summer? Water hunting is highly addictive huh? You did great! No karat stamp on that 1 rang? Got a gold test kit? Did you epoxy the underside of yer coil yet? You need to, I had another failure in the surf last week. New coil on the way. Garrett need a coil cover for the Mark II. The achilles heal of the unit is the coil.
 
I just might get a gold kit. I put up the PI for sale (deal pending) as there is just too much iron in our freshwater lakes. I'm tired of listening to a "machine gun" on my hunts. I got the gold with the DetectorPro Wader (Gulf Huntress will like that). I am snooping around for a used Excalibur for water hunting.
 
I was afraid you would come to that conclusion. PIs are a clean surf or deep surf unit. Fresh water lakes are just too trashy to cover any kind of ground successfully with a PI. The wader is an excellent fresh water unit. Huntress has done well with her in fresh, but has not been running long in the surf with it. The Excal will be awesome for you in the lake. You will be amazed how quickly that water cna be covered with this unit. Go ahead and order a Lightening Rod from Reilly's Treasure Gold. I mounted mine this way and A BIG DIFFERENCE! The Wader realisitically will do whatever you want to do in the lake.
 
You becha, Max will have the ultimate of both units. Excal & Aquasearch, pick yer poison mate! Let the games BEGIN!
