Haven't been detecting or checking in here much lately. I had a bit of bad luck earlier in the month involving a big delivery truck and my much smaller pick-up truck. Seriously tired of dealing with the insurance company already. I was parked and that's all I should really say right now, I suppose. So I haven't been treasure hunting or doing much of anything else. I did take the opportunity to send my Pro-Pointer back to Garrett for repair as it had been acting up. I got it back yesterday and this morning I actually felt chipper enough for a little hunt. Now I've had a headache for about two weeks and being out in the sun did not help that at all. I managed a little over and hour. I scored a some clad and this lot. The Merc cheered me up some. The really odd thing is that the Junior Fire Marshall badge is from the insurance company I'm dealing with. Maybe it portends a reasonable settlement offer.

[size=large]if you know you're in the right then get a lawyer and assume they are watching every move you make. they are not your friend.
did i mention, get a lawyer? they won't collect unless you do.a lawyer will know if you have a case or not. the first consultation is usually free. if not, find another one that is. helped us in our case. and don't let a lawyer b.s. you into thinking they gotta have money up front. they don't.
hope you're able to hunt real soon.

I had a delivery truck back into my Honda Accord a few years back. The car was parked and I was'nt even present when it happened but the car got totalled. Anyways, a day or so later their insurance agent called my home and had the balls to say "So .. you backed into our truck, correct?" ..... unbelievable. I know he was just doing his job but what a scuzzbag.

Hope everything works out Chris ... and nice Merc too !!

Good to hear U can still hunt. That water nozzle looks new. nice little hunt Chris:thumbup:

I hate insurance companies of any kind. They can take forever to solve anything and it is like they don't know what they are doing half the time. Hope it all works out for you. Nice find on the merc.

I like that brass water nozzle, I found one of those several years ago and it's still on my water hose, works good, just like the one we used to have in the olden days back in the late 50s/early 60s. HH

I put it in my scrap bucket! Maybe I should find a hose to put it on.

I'm out of pocket quite a bit already and have no idea when these guys are gonna fork over anything.

I was in my truck just about to get out. The questions I am being asked over and over are why weren't you wearing your seatbelt? Why was your door open? For the 20th time, I was getting out of my truck. The driver was very cool about it all and his statement to his insurance company was that it was his fault. He didn't see me. He phoned the cops. Adjuster from his company has said there is no question of liability although they haven't commited that to writing. I'm getting almost daily letters from them all saying your claim is still under investigation. My insurance company has been utterly useles. It has been a major pain in the neck, literally, and figuratively.

I wasn't really expecting a silver coin as it is a pretty new park. Unimproved before that. Must have been dropped by a hunter or kids playing in the woods. That made it a cool find for me. All silver coins are cool finds, though!

My insurance company would'nt do anything for me either. I had a rental car for about 3 weeks that the delivery truck's insurance company had to pay for. I ended up switching companies just because of how rude and indifferent they were to me.

Glad you are OK. :clapping: Machines and trucks can be replaced, you can't be. A little hunting is probably some good therapy for you, in many ways for you. Hope it all works out for you.

Hey Chris, going through the same **#! you are. don't give up! been two and a half years, a round head pulled out in front of me(he was talking on his phone!) big old suburban, short story long, still waiting, stay strong! Detecting has been the best therapy for me:detecting: Good luck...HH. C-Dog

You sure summed up your situation with you finds Chis. Your insurance company is in the dirt, just like that shark you found! From top left, it appears that your first two targets are offering you hope of financial settlement. Little wonder you've had a headache for so long! Perhaps if you attach the item in the bottom of the photograph to a hose and point it at the appropriate source of your frustration! Kind of reminds me of a comment I heard a motivational speaker once said with those that really tick you off. You give them a mental head butt. Just give them one in your imagination. They won't know any better, but you may smile and feel a whole lot better!

Dang! Hope you heal up and are back to full strength soon Chris...Insurance companies are inventions of financiers...they arn't there to protect us, just to protect the banks money and for that priveledge, you are charged. Heck, if it wasn't mandatory, most folks wouldn't have it..and if your vehicle is payed off, then screw you!
