Hey all,
Gang I been outta tectin for a couple months now. Well I got into tecting hard, nearly every day for a couple hours, for nearly a year and a half, well I started have a bad ache in my shoulder but it never seemed to bother me while I was swinging the detector, but couldn't hardly get comfortable at night when I layed down. Over these last couple months the pain in my shoulder has gone, So to all of you who warned about using the same arm all the time you were right, I am going out for a bit tomorrow evening but it feels very akward swinging the thing left handed. Thongs have got so busy at work I really have not had alot of free time in the evenings. Going to try to ease back into it and try to learn to use it left handed for a while. I see there are a few out there who are receivung some faulty excelerator coils, Kellyco has had a little trouble with these coils as Digger stated, JW and the guys at Kellyco will replace these coils, I have a 5 and 14 inch and both work great, Kellyco does not manufacture the coil, so don't trash them for the bad ones, If you get a bad one send it back, I know it is a little of a hassle but these coils are worth it , the 14 will out perform the stock whites coil hands down, anywhere. It is a bit heavier and do try to practice switching hands from time to time, I know my shoulder got so bad I thought about selling all my gear at one time but I really love detecting, just gotta use a little common sense. Hope all are well and digging much treasure.

Your shoulder, I mean. 1. It could be from swinging the big coil. 2. It could be from digging all those holes. Or 3. more than likely, it is from carrying all that treasure to the bank!!!!! <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> Take care and good luck with the shoulder. (you might consider a sling for the bigger coils. I made one for a couple bucks. If you want some more info, email me.) HH

Your detector coil shaft might be adjusted to the wrong height. I know mine is about 1 inch. I will have to drill another set of holes, then my arm will fall in its natural position while swinging the coil. Had to do this on another detector also. You will be amazed how much this might help you.

Thanks guys, about drilling another hole it sounds like you mite be as vetically challenged ( short) as I am, even with the shaft all they way in I still have a bend in my arm. Digger, it would be more like haulin them sacks full of nails away from them old sites. I just cant get comfortable swinging left handed, it just don't feel right.Maybe I'll try to shorten the shaft a little more.
Thanks Ray
