There has been talk from a number of guys about the shortcomings of the manual suppled with the F75. We may have the power to do something about that. I've been corresponding with a few of the powers that be, and think we can encourage fisher to subsidize a much better manual, or "how to" book or DVD, by someone very knowledgeable in the field. :) We all need to be on the same page with this though. If you have a F75, and would like to maybe have a better publication available for it, send me an email with F75 in the subject line, and your email address and name in the body. I'll send a group mailing out detailing what I have in mind when I get everyones contact info. I think we can make this happen. Thanks in advance...shadowx5@ptd.net Streak!
PS: I just noticed my old addy here is incorrect, so use the one supplied here in the post.

[size=medium]but I think the F-75 book is pretty good compared to Fishers manauals of the past. my Excel-id manual was short/ full of typos and useless. The f-75 is better written, got me going well and good enough to get a beginner hunting<< isnt that the point of a manual? If it was an inch thick like the Explorer then there would be even more complaints. I have only seen a few techy people who want electronic explinations of how everything works and much of that is propirietary so no manual will get too detailed. I read the manual once or twice when i get a new mashine and then i learn my own tricks. I think a how to DVD or book is a fine idea but a rewrite of the manual I disagree. Id bet more f-75 detectorists would much rather see bounty hunter consentrate work on some accessory coils before manual rewrites

I thought it was pretty good too. There's more stuff in it than most my other detector manuals. Heck, I thought they explained stuff pretty good myself.

I'll third it.I thought they did a pyrty good job on it.
And yes extra coils would be nice. Also I wish they would come out with a new bounty hunter machine in the old style box that ran off two nine volts.I really liked that style, except maybe run off 4 Double a's.

IMHO I think the manual leaves much to be desired. I don't need to know about all the electronics but a few more pages on how to make it operate under different conditions sure would help. With claims of it being such a sophisticated detector I am sure that to devote more than one page per setting would not be too much to ask..02
