Hey Ed, is Keith gonna take the new toy with him????

I see BobbyB has posted pic's of the production model. You gonna get a crash course on it and take one to England as well?

England may be a very good place to put the new machine through its paces. Find out how deep that new toy will really hunt.

I have read on other forums where people want to buy one for coinshooting.
I'm thinking that would be a big mistake for many to think that the new detector is a coinshooter. Or am I missing something?

We normally use MXT's / DFX's in the UK but may have a TDI with us for test / back up machine. Don't yet know. Don't know that a TDI will be much advantage in the friendly soils we detect on in Yorkshire. We'll see.

At first, the number of production models will be limited. I'll find out why later today.

The TDI is designed to be the machine of choice for use in highly mineralized ground .... Virginia red powdered iron soil, gold prospecting black sand soil, wet salt sand conditions..... where traditional metal detectors have trouble signaling on deep targets. If one is a very serious coin hunter with a lot of spare money to spend, I guess the TDI would be considered for purchase / use.

I'm assuming a water machine based on the TDI will be seen from White's sometime in the future. At least I hope so.

At the last DIV I saw all the top of the line machines not even signal / or threshold tone change on a 6 to 8 inch target or deeper that the TDI easily located.

I'll have one for sure for DIV X. MSRP is $1599. Most of us will sell them for a bit less than that. I was REALLY impressed with the prototype TDI's at the last DIV. I like the new matte black finish and the weight they took off the prototype model.
