Hey Cooter... :hot: I got you a deal on a motorcycle with a side car... :D

One of my customers is converting new Schwinn bicycles to motorized bikes. Kind of like the old Wizards ... only better ... as in lower in cost / faster. I'll be able to sell then for about $700 to $750 and make a few bucks.

He brought one by the store yesterday for me to try out. It was fun! The thing has an 80CC engine that runs very quietly .... a cop buddy clocked us on radar doing 26 MPH ... which is way faster than I want to go on a bike. Once it's broken in, it can be adjusted to go up to 35+ MPH.

The bike gives you about 125 miles per gallon. With the clutch disengaged, it operates like a regular 7 speed or 26 speed bike. He also converts Cruiser bikes too.

To start the engine, you just peddle up to a few MPH and engage the clutch. It has a throttle like a motorcycle and a kill switch button to shut off the motor. Both the front and rear brake levers are on the same handle as the clutch.

In Florida, because it has a motor (regardless of the engine being less than or more than 50CC), the driver must be at least 16 years old and hold a drivers license and the bike must display a license tag and have headlight and rear light .... same light requirement as regular bikes if driven at night. I'll post a photo of one when I can get one. Other states don't require licensing tags or DL's.

Take one of those bad boys and zoom right out into the field metal detecting .... then ride it home so long as you are less than 30 miles away or carry extra gas for the 1/2 Gal tank. If you do run out of gas, just ride it home like any other bike.
