I went back to the old house where the tall grass was and set the sensitivity up to 31. I see what you are saying man that thing was going crazy when the tall grass was hitting the coil didn't take me long to back down off the sensitivity.

Ron, I'm glad to hear I'm not crazy but not happy with you're result.I was hoping this was just something I could have fixed. Usally I hunt in high auto but my guess is the grass reacts the same way as if I'm in manual. In Auto the detector adjusts to the ground conditions but when an outside force such as the tall grass hits ,the interference is before the unit even understands there is something not right. How far did you have to turn the sense down to keep it stable? When the grass is wet its 5 times worst.
ps The 1500 has found a use again.

C.C. I didn't take mine down one by one I just wanted to see what you where talking about. I just went back to where I normly run it at 21. Next time i go back there or run in high grass again I will try dropping it one at a time to see where it's stabble it self out at.
Will keep you posted.
Ron
