.... Some guy detecting around the power pole at the top of the hill just above the headquarters tent found a sterling silver ID tag about 5 feet from the pole.

The tag belonged to Charles Benedict, Company C 77th ...or 44th (I forget) NY volunteers. WAY COOL! It was in really great shape too.
 
Tn Rocks got a closeup of it and it was really cool looking. It was the 77th. I imagine it is posted on the photo gallery by now.

We'll be headed to Jimmie's tomorrow morning. We are gonna cancel the G'burg trip this time and catch it next time we come out this way.

... tried to track down that guys Civil War records? As is, your tag is worth around $1000. With official records ... and perhaps with a photo, worth much more. WTG!
