There's a write up in todays paper here inviting folks to come see the "Civil War muster" at URI Sunday......sounds cool, & I didn't even know that's why you were coming (I should have asked). :blink:
I figured you were showing photography, & it mentions a "traveling
photographer" too. Are you the traveling photographer? :) I wanna try some hardtack :tongue:
 
I'm gonna be in Bob's back yard this weekend, and he is gonna be in yours! Hopefully you guys will get to dig a few holes. Maybe we can ALL hook up again soon.
 
What about Saturday, snow ??? I hope not, are we going digging.

Ya Ill be there for the muster on Sunday, that is why Im coming. I wont be the one doing the demos. A friend of mine will though. He will be set up inside. The reenactors might be too. Like the saying goes "if they'd a had it they'd a used it." :)

I just might show up on Sunday looking like this picture. Hope I dont scare anyone. This is me, taken in my studio in Fredericksburg.

When you come down for the dig we should meet up and Ill take you over to the studio for a tintype portrait. I have some stuff you could put on. What about an authentic tintype of you in a uniform holding a Fisher?

That constuction site I told you about is still on going. Check it out if you dont have anywhere else to dig. I havent found too much. Only about 6 or 7 bullets each trip lately. Ive got about 60 bullets out of there so far and a few eagle buttons. Also a confederate fuse.

I was out today a couple minutes from home and found 5 bullets in only an hour.

I always like finding bullets but a few more bullets would be nice.
 
I may put some boot prints in that mud before it's over! The weather may not cooperate with us this weekend though. A few bullets would make my day. Good luck up north. Sounds like you better dig a winter hut! :lol:
 
Hopefully we can find a musketball or 2, & you guys can find a 3 ringer or 2.......
