Hey Beach Hunter...

1719 and 1781 1 Reales found last weekend. Ron got himself a King George Copper.

Nice reals! Though I hate to say regarding the King George coppers, I've detected in England and they're very, very common over there...some of the guys I know there barely bother to dig 'em as they're a dime a dozen (similar to us finding a wheatie here). I had the impression at one point that they were kind of exotic to find  -- at least they're uncommon over here.

Actually this is the wrong place to post as I found them field hunting; but this is the only forum I know where Beach Hunter, Metaldig, and Boston Bob post.

This is only my second and third Spanish Silver find (the last was a 1782 1/2 Reale I found on the banks of a lake earlier this year) so naturally I wanted to show off my finds to them a little... they always seem skunk me when I'm on the beach. ;)

HAMPTONS BEEN SLIM!! ALL THE NEW SAND THEY PUT IN HAS RUINED THE LOWER FLAT!! KEEP IN TOUCH! I LOST YOUR #P.M ME WITH IT IF YOU THINKOF IT!!

I had the use of a SurfMaster II and hit that lake I was telling you about. I actually tried to give you a call to get some pointers because all I was finding was modern clad. I know there is older stuff there... people have been swimming there since the times of the Pilgrims.

Will send you a PM with my #.
