Hessian Lion Rampant?

Hi Everyone,I am new to this...so bare with me...I found what I think is a Hessian Rampant ...I can't say it is a button..It is made of metal and enamel...I live in Newport RI...The Hessian were here for 4 years during the Revolutionary War...I've been Metal Detecting for awhile now...I use a White IDX,I know it is Ancient History...But So Am I...I have other Relics...::

Check Wikipedia. The Hessian lion seems to have more "frilly bits" (not a heraldic term)!
