Heron and lunch

nge

Active member
Went fishing early this morning (7am.) Took my camera with me. Around about 11 a.m. I spotted this Heron looking for lunch ( BTW, he did catch 3). I was only abot 100 feet from him, but since I was in the water also, I wasn't much of a threat. I was using my FujiFilm FinePix S2000HD...enjoy NGE

This critter is called the "Great Blue Heron"

you know what they say..........another day another thing learned !!! thanks

yes, but I only caught 2. Largemouth bass about 3 lbs. each, not the usual 7 - 8, I usually catch when I catch more than 2, they range 5 to 7 lbs. each. And I do practice catch and release............nge

We will often turn the Bass loose, but keep the Catfish and Brim for eating, often having a big fish fry for kinfolks and friends. Kelley (Texas) :)
