Here's what my buddy thought of his new Christmas pillow:bouncy:...

About 5 years ago I let my buddy outside to do his business. He then saw a squirrel and took off running around the house. I heard the screech of braking tires...and a sickening thud. I found my buddy laying a good 30 feet away from the now stopped car. That's how hard he was hit...and how far he was thrown...and he wasn't moving. I got sick to my stomach...and everything went black. I bent down to pick him up...and he whimpered a little...then licked me on the nose. I then realized he was still alive. Suddenly the life came back into us both. I carried him home and called the vet emergency number. He had broken his leg completely through and they put it in a cast. They also told me he would need to be kept in a cage for a while so his leg could heal.

He had never been a cage...and obviously did not like the cast...because he kept chewing on it. I then bought some duct tape...which was suggested by the vet... to do a little fixin' up of his cast myself so he couldn't gnaw at it as much. I also bought him a sweet $30 red Christmas pillow to rest on in his cage.

Apparantly he did not like my duct tape job OR the sweet new pillow.:bouncy: He literally chewed every piece of stuffing out....then gave me a look of "That'll learn ya' ta' stick me in a cage and duct tape my leg":crylol:

At leasy he didn't eat the tape and stuffins.

So glad Herky is allright.
Looks like he definately had fun with the pillow!
Wonder if you could put some of that stuff on the cast that keeps kids from chewing their fingernails?

Give Herk a pet for me.

I had a couple of Beagles when I was growing up, they could eat wiring, those old metal blinds, and elect. fence they would scream the whole day chewing on the wire. Never seen a animial that would eat his way thought something like a Beagle. I mean chew right through a wood fence, above the elect. fence wire. No more Beagles one of my livedto be 19 years old.
