Here's the "mystery" coin ( what remains of it) cleaned....almost ..

Just a few more spots...it's still soaking.

This1902 Barber dime was ruined by years and years buried in the salty ocean..it is almost paper thin.

I keep hoping to find one in good condition in the ocean, but I know this will never happen so I have to be content with the fun of finding these old coins in whatever condtion they present themselves.

I love to see the coins that forum members find in the dirt...really nice finds!

Thanks for looking

I think because of the position of the coin in the ocean floor, the reverse was a little better preserved than the obverse.

that Liberty image is so distorted...although I have to say that the image is clearer "in real life" as opposed to the camera shot...the lighting is too bright and makes it difficult to see the image as I can see it holding it in my hand.

thanks for looking
