As you can see the beaches were mostly deserted. In the closeup shot, you can see a large Pink Hotel in the background. That's the Don Caesar. It's one of the high dollar establishments in St. Pete. Every time a President rolls through town to speak or politic...... this is where they stay. Both Bush presidents have stayed there as well as Bill Clinton. McDill Air Force Base is just across the bay and that is the headquarters for SOCOM (Southern Command) so it's real easy for the dignitaries to get there and to Tampa International for Air force 1. All we found was clad and very little of that but we had fun. I took Elson to lunch at a Chik-filet restaurant and that was a first for him. I think he really liked it.

Now I can fill in "the rest of the story." I happen to know for a fact that those earmuffs the boy wears are lined with the finest carpet padding that a rent house has to offer. Now, I ain't one to start anything, but did you all notice he keeps that digger hidden and out of frame?? Rick, watch over him closely. He tends to wander and get lost.
Hey Charlie, sure wish you were here to see the lake at my old cabin. I'll try to post a pic or two when I get back home.
