........at this Beach Club;there is a big patch of Old Growth trees-Oak,maple,etc-That are all at least 100-120 feet tall, and amongst them there are some primitive campsites-No water or electricity-A bath house with toilets.Campfire rings, built in grills. When the sun goes down at this time of year, all the cicadas start their all night thrumming in the trees, and it is SO LOUD,it just drowns out anything else-GOD'S ORCHESTRA...........It is such a soothing sound to go to sleep in your tent;listening to God's chorus......... This beach club is kind of close to the big city, yet far enough away to support all kinds of wildlife-Deer,coyotes,squirrells,raccoons-The raccoons will get right into your coolers left out at night,I found out the hard way.The owner told me there was a GIANT party in there when WW2 and the Korean War ended. He also showed me the road that goes down to the lake that was used at the turn of the century1900 where the folks would drive their horse and mule powered wagons to water them. The place is so big,I will never get it all hunted properly.I suppose you could compare it to detecting a huge Civil War battlefield-"Where do I start??HOW can I cover it decently in the time I have???"etc,etc.............Im really going to pay CLOSE ATTENTION this year to the beaches that are in use-Possibilites are endless as to whom lost what in the water, probly close to 80 degrees in the water,as hot as its been here.
