Maybe the stone needs cleaning - not pretty and not sure what it is.

Sure was pretty coming out of the water but took a loupe to see the fine print that made me even happier. 10 K gold.

I found one at the beach just about that size. The band on mine was only a 16th of an inch wide :)
 
Could the ring possibly be a lady's ring or pinkie ring, as my daughter used to wear a size 4 before she gained weight. Also could be a child's ring and could it be an Opal...looks like it anyway? Good luck in finding lots more gold and also diamonds! :)
