Here's Some More Of That Refinery Money, Re-invested Into Gold And Diamonds

Here's another big chunk of the money from the load of bling I recently sent to Midwest Refinery. I paid off the rest of the ring that we had on layaway at the jeweler's to go with my "Find of the Summer" ring.

My wife wanted to get a companion ring to go with it and make a new "wedding set" to upgrade the original, which is now retired to the jewelry box. So we picked out a 14K ring with 5 stones that matched the smaller stones in the big ring. So here is the new set...found ring in the rear, new one in the front...total of a little over 2.5 carats, about $5000. And the best part? Just in time for our anniversay next week. Needless to say, she's happy. Which means I'm happy. :)

Can you believe that when we went to the Bahamas she was actually going to wear it snorkeling??? I practically body-blocked her at the cabin door...

"What are you doing with the ring?"

"I'm going to wear it."

"Uh...no your not...are you NUTS???"

"What? It's on there good."

"Uh...NO...that what the LAST owner thought. Back away from the ring! The ring stays HERE." :)

Mike, thanks for the tip on this gold meltdown thing. Your right, I need to visit the other sites too, besides they're very interesting and informative. Thanks again and nice ring you got your wife there. That's pretty slick how you matched them up and stuff. Beachguy, Marc Trainor.:twodetecting::|

Thanks. Yeah, that match-up thing was her doing. I'm thinking "OK, so how is it that I FIND a $4000+ diamond ring and I STILL have to spend MORE MONEY???" But there are some things you don't argue with and that was one of them because she's been wanting a "bigger diamond" for a LONG TIME and now she seems happy, so...works for me! :)
