J.T. Bulls patented 1852 fishing lure. I thought it just a piece of metal, i unfolded it and behold! lol

I am not doubting your judgement on what it is, I would like to know how you found out what it was. I mean how do you go about finding information on something like that? Where would you start? How many hours of research does that take? And what made you decide it was something to research in the first place? Nice find!
 
I simply read the stamp/writing on it, do a google search and there it comes up. I actually found one like it on e-bay, sold for almost $900.
After researching it further, it is called an "arrowhead spinner" lure
 
Wow! :yikes: I didn't see the writing in the picture, that's awesome man! Well that makes sense now, thanks for responding back.
