Sunday morning we hit the hunt fields for the last 1/2 day. Found a pocket knife, a brass cattle tag, an iron buckle, a 3 ring bullet, a brass strap hanger thingy, and a fork with the 3 tines missing ... still has some wood bits remaining on both sides.

... as a nice break from our 70's / 80's. Wasn't real excited about the snow when I was detecting Richmond ... but ya just got to deal with it.

is it "dang idiot Vernon"? Sorry, I LOVE LOVE,MAN!!! I don't show up every day so I really do not know what DIV means.

.... one of the most productive "paid" hunts you'll ever attend. Invitation only. Depending on the site size, 100 to 225 folks are invited to attend. Fee is $200, most of which goes to the landowner who has never before let a group detect on the land. It's like the Super Bowl of metal detecting for Civil War relics.

After considering travel expenses, figure your 3 ring minis cost the average participant about $50 each. .... in the case of Butch that would be about $150 each ....
