I met Scott at Mc Doggies this morning for some caffeinated mud and bull between 2 pieces of bread with cheese and fried onions. We discussed our chosen spot, gossiped a little about metal detecting then drove to our first snow hill. It was just a super day, blue sky, no wind and a temperature of a few degrees below freezing. Finally....some hot weather! I chose to use my new ATX to get in shape for the summer. Not even 5 minutes passed and "BANG".......Scott gets his first signal. I observed him with the corner of my eye, and he looked like a kid who was just about to stick his finger in a pie. Luckily, my camera was handy, so I got some photos of his very first AT GOLD coin. A special occasion indeed!

Here's the finds for this hill. He swamped me  at least for today! It looks like Scott will be a regular on this forum from now on. Stay tuned, as he is soon moving to Costa Rica, leaving this wonderland of 6 months of white mold, to be replaced with 12 months of white sand.

Nice start Scott, you got ya a nice lighter collection going. Come down "south" to Georgia's dry sand or better yet north Georgia's gold belt! :detecting:

It looks like lady luck is on your side, Scott! Looking forward to hearing about your Costa Rica adventure, too. :beers:

Always fun to hit some keeper targets with a new detector. Good show, Scott. I suspect John will have a gold or silver hunt come along shortly. Good luck in your adventure. HH jim tn

Awesome! Think I am gonna have to hit up some sledding hills by me to be able to try my new AT Pro. Congrats Scott!

John: Its settled I am gonn have to get an ATX now. The way my kids lose gloves it would pay for itself in one season! What did that come up as for a VDI? LOL I always enjoy reading your adventures and has given me many great ideas. Thanks for that.
