Here's another type of Pocket/Uniprobe connector to use,

Old California

Here's the type of connector I use for the same probe used on the Pocket/Uniprobe, Radio shack sells them and can easily be mounted on.

It does swivel which reduces the chance of wear on the coil cable, Perfect connector to use for those of you considering a change of connector.

did you adapt one of these to it?
I thought you might have used this type of "clam shell" black outer casing for the bnc style connector of the pocket uniprobe.
They seem only to come with the 3.5mm Stereo RIGHT ANGLE Plug
Good idea.

Hello Olde tymer,

I don't have a part number but Radio Shack has them, Easily can be found. Just make sure it is the same one as I have posted and connects to the Uniprobe plug.

Hello hardnose,

Yes, I used the clam shell type BNC connector from radio shack which easily mounts on once the old connector is removed.

I never used the Stereo type plug you have posted, Is this the type the pocket probe uses?

Paul,

No, the 3.5mm version of it is the only "clam shell" case plug I could find.

I wasn't aware of that type of clam shell case being available for the BNC as well. I was interested to know, if that is what you might have used to encase the BNC connector that connects to the uniprobe.

I'll look around on the Radio Shack site or the web to find the BNC version with that clam shell enclosure.

That's the one Dave :)

It says it is a Solderless Right-Angle Male BNC Plug but I highly recommend to solder both coil wires for a good strong connection.

Thanks for posting the link, Radio Shack does carry these :)
