Its jsut a basic test using a red clay brick form an 1840's era house site....this is a hand fired red clay North Georgia brick.....
Test is to use the MXT-PRO in relic mode 2 tone with user set tone break....just barely set to low tone a nail...dead on 2 on the disc...
place a modern nickle under a red clay brick and see what type response it can get
first coil I used is the 6x10 DD elliptical eclipse model by White's
Second coil is the S.E.F. 8x6 coil......
you will notice the S.E.F. coil is night and day difference in response in the test......
Coil design is evolving and you can see the performance the newer design's offer...
I am a firm believer that coil design is the only logical path to take in VLF technology for better performance...
The MXT-PRO with the added features are about as perfect of a detector as one could ask for especially in relic hunting in bad dirt...and the newer tech coils makes it a true top end world class machine in a simple package...
