Here's a little info for beach hunting with the AT PRO

Terry in PA

New member
FOUND THIS ON ANOTHER FORUM...........I see all kinds of speculation going on about this Det. We had one up here, a few weeks back, for testing in our black sand beaches. It is pretty impresive especially in the PRO mode. We called every bottle cap and every coin right on the money. Thats not a easy task in these highly mineralized beaches. The depth is better than we've had in the past and beat all the competator models we had with us. I think you'll be as impresed as I was.

Interesting! What forum? I would like to see the rest of the thread.

Terry,
Could you be more specific ....What beach were you hunting on ? .........You say you ID'ed every bottle cap and coin on the money ....Can you please tell us how deep thess items were that you ID'd perfectly ? .....Also , what machines were you camparing the AT Pro to ? .....THanks for your time ....Jim

Yeah that's Charlie Weavers report. He knows of what he speaks as he has been testing Garrett equipment forever.

Bill.

I think a lot of that was covered in the video. I know when I listened to the test over the phone there was a distinct and different sound between bottlecaps, pulltabs, and good targets. No mistaking them whatsoever. Reference to this is made by Charlie Weaver on the other Garrett Forum on the web site we can't mention here without it being deleted. You should know where and what it is.

Just because there has been questions about how the AT PRO was at beach hunting. I hope it helped those who had questions about it or gave you a little insight to how it may work for you. Hope it didn't cause any problems here on the forum. Thanks Bill for telling folks who made the post. I had know idea who made it . Just thought I'd pass it along.

Happy Hunting

Thanks for passing the information on .....You caused no problems that I can see ..... The report is very vague, and really says very little ......There is nothing that was said in that report that anybody can get into trouble with ..... Jim
