These are the guys who pay 94% for scrap gold, and are good honest people. I finally got ambitious and checked to see if they buy silver, and they do! They pay 88% on sterling (925). Check them out.

I think once I git 30LBS., I'm going to send it in and have them make me a .999 fine bar, just to have it. Most of my silver jewelry is getto anyway!

From the last report from them.

Silver - 8.49 troy oz recv'd... wt after melt 8.244...assay yield 90.567%... troy oz contained 7.466...

I sent them an e-mail inquiring about converting my silver and gold into pure bar and returning it to me, but I wanted to be assured that only my treasure would be in the mix and I was told that 30 lbs. of silver would be necessary. Perhaps the circumstances would be different, if you just requested the money in exchange for the goods. If you find out for sure lemme know. I was unimpressed with the response that I got from the company. They just kinda blew off my e-mail inquirey and I sent 2, but have not talked to anyone at the company. Maybe they're just too busy to fool with me. GH

So Jackpine, are you saying that you sent in 8.49 troy oz. and they paid you based on 7.466 pure troy oz? Would they have returned that amount to you in pure form or only paid you the money? I inquired about them returning pure bar in return for my treasure. Lemme know some details, if you know, as I have not had very good feedback from my 2 e-mails that I sent to the company. Have not talked to a person over there yet. Perhaps that would be my best bet. GH

New to posting but not to detecting, both land and water. I've sent in silver coins and jewelery, as well as gold jewelery to Midwest for about 4yrs. now and there was never a minimum amount to qualify. Turn around has been 10 days to no longer than 2 weeks. HH and look foward to future posts. CSB
