Yesterday just might have been the first day of spring around here in Kansas.
Started out cold but warmed up to the 50's.
Today and tomorrow the 60's then low 70's early in the week and we might hit 80 on Thursday.
Just a few days ago we had temps in the low single digits and snow and ice just last weekend.
What a long strange trip it's been this winter, but maybe, just maybe we are done with it.
I hit the sidelines of a large open area with lots of soccer fields yesterday but because it was open to the wind most areas were still frozen down several inches.
In a couple of days the warm weather should defrost that site nicely.
I left there and went to another park to an area protected by trees and saints be praised the dirt was all soft and nice and perfectly moist.
That, plus hanging out in warmer weather made this a perfect hunt.
Here is what I found at those two sites.
Ordinarily I wouldn't bother posting mundane targets like this and probably won't from now on but what these particular targets represent is huge.
I am officially declaring the 2015 season open.
Let the games begin in earnest!
