Hit the beach 06:30 PM till 08:45 PM, Wind must have been blowing 35 MPH straight in from the ocean. Sometimes I couldn't even hear my threshold tone on the x-cal. The wind was blowing the sand so hard it was exposing all kinds of stuff up in the dry sand. I stuck to looking in the surf. When I started at 6th headed to the pier, there were no cuts, as I came back southbound there were three cuts started one of them 2 feet deep where there was none before. No targets down by the water. Here is a photo of the loot, not including the 5 soda cans I dug to China for. Am gonna try to hit it tomorrow eve also. Good Luck to everyone, Stay Safe

The rain bands started on the south coast of NC before noon. It's just after 10:00 pm now and Ernesto has passed just offshore, heading towards Wilmington.

We'll have had well over 12 hrs of on-off rain by the time it clears out.

You might not hunt Va Beach tomorrow, but when you do, you'll have new sand to search. I'm going out before work, weather permitting, just to see if any changes were made.

Rain like crazy, everything is flooded, Winds gusting at 50 mph, probably no detecting going on this am, If I do have to go to work, its about 1/2 mile from oceanfront, will try it this eve.
