We are short handed and will continue to be that way til way into fall. Plus we have everyone trying to get their vacations in. Most nights we used to run 5 man to the shift - we are now down to 3 (if no one gets sick or has to call in because of a parent needed him). We lost 4 people recently and no plans to hire anyone new - well we did get one person. She unfortunately is pulled from our staff to stock when the stockers are short handed and she informed me yestrday she had a job interview which she felt went well. So we could lose her too - and she still isn't trained in all areas yet.
I have to go into work an hour early 2 days a week then cut my hours so I have no more than 40 by weeks end - they refuse to pay overtime - instead if I get overtime I get coached for putting in more than my scheduled hours - even though they aske me or tell me to come in. If I get any coachings it makes me ineligible to transfer to any other store. 3 coaching and I get a day off without pay and have to put in writing why I feel I should work for Wal-mart. After the D day I can be fired. Any coachings also affect whether I would get a pay raise or not (not that they are giving anyone any anyways).
I used to think Wal-mart was a good place to work - maybe at some other store(s) it is but this is only getting worse. Its taking a toll on all of us mentally as well as physically.
Need your prayers to try to get this turned around or at least to get some sanity into this management. Thanks all. I will be posting less and less unfortunately. Can't keep up with the posts as it is so I will pray for everyone's needs to be met and that those who need jobs get them and everyone's families are safe and healthy - and that you get to get out and do some detecting.
