On a more serious note;we were camping with some of my wife's family-My wife's neice is married to a guy;but,ever since I have known him-its been 8 years they have been married-I HAVE NOT,EVER,IN THESE 8 YEARS,SEEN HIM NOT DRINKING ALCOHOL-the first nite we were up there;he took me for a ride to check out the detecting sites--YES,he was drinking beer-DRIVING-I didnt know it until after we took off....He said"Steve,there is beer in the cooler under the front seat there-Help yourself"...I said no thanks-When we got back;my wife told me she was scared to death for me;because of his history of drinking...I made it plain I didnt want any....I feel if I drank ANY amount of alcohol around him;in any situation;somehow he would think I was condoning it...He has a great wife,and 2 kids...something tells me,being he was married once before;this may be why his 1st marriage went south...I have a feeling he knows there is a difference when I am around them;I also believe it makes him uncomfortable...I have more than my share of alcohol-related horror stories-the LORD taught me to learn from those events;and keep drinking in its place-When the keys for the vehicles are put away for the nite;and then only in moderation..I seen a T-shirt once that said"INSTANT ***HOLE-JUST ADD ALCOHOL"...That was me,in the past-not to be repeated in the future...
......Maybe somebody should tell everybody "BEACHES AND JEWELRY DONT MIX"...Oh my,what I found:6
rings!!!...2 gold rings;1 a 14k white gold mothers birthstone ring with 4 stones in it;a 14 kt.HUGE mans wedding band;1 copper ring( only the second one I ever found);1 cheap childs ring;and 3 silver rings;1-gorgeous 14kt.20 inch gold chain(it was just layin on the bottom;I eyeballed it)And;the best for last;a BEYOOTIFUL sterling silver Italian man's bracelet marked.925...
Of course,I am wearin it right now,fits me perfectly...when I dug it up with my scoop;the sun was glinting on it
somebody REALLY lost a goodie that time,and I was there to find it.....I was talkin to the park ranger the day we got there;He told me the week before we got there,some guy with a detector was recruited to find a woman's VERY expensive bracelet she lost in the drink...He found it,I guess..Then,he said something like he got it "pretty well cleaned up"in there at that time....
THANKS FOR CLEANING IT UP LIKE YA DID!!Ya know what-lets just keep it to ourselves about jewelry and beaches not mixing...forget I said anything...PS:I will try and post some pics here if I can figure out my digital camera...
