Here is what I want to do....

I would like to be able to overlay a new map onto an old one or vice versa...and get some
co-ordinates so I can find some of the points on the old map. I have an old Garmin 12 XL
that works well and if I could do the overlay I would hike in and do some detecting!
What software do I need?? I have computers and a laptop but don't know what software is
the most user friendly. Any suggestions?? ( I don't think I need to render a map just get the lat and long and go or is that just wishful thinking?)

Thanks,
Glenn
