I'm very excited about this tongue piece. I was told this is one of the rarest designs of the Taussig style eagle buckle! The tongue and wreath do not match, wreath found 300yds. away at another encampment. This only means there are more pieces to be found...yahoooo!

The buttons found at top left to right...Silver plated Eagle Infantry with slanted shield b/m Y.Smith New York, Dragoon button (early style), flat button with b/m Orange Gilt, a one piece pewter U.S flat button (1808-1830) and few 4 hole underwear pewter buttons. Thanks for looking!

On a serious note. Good Job, nice finds. What part of the uniform was the eagle buckle attached? Ron
