Howdy Treasure Hunter....
Yep still alive and still selling Tesoros'. Sorry
Rentasquirell.
I have bought me a new MXT in the last week or so. Just because I sell sledge hammers don't mean I dont' need a screwdriver every now and then. Just another tool in the tool box.
I sold most of my detectors over the last few months to upgrade across the board. I wanted an ID machine with depth. Have seen the MXT do some things I want a metal detector to do in certain situations so I bought it. I don't have any qualms about using any brand or model of detector. If you think I restrict my treasure hunting to just one brand or one machine...you gotta be kidding!!
When MagnumPi and I go on a typical relic hunt we will carry at the very minumum...eight detectors in various brands and models.
When we go water hunting we will carry at least three detectors each. One primary Excalibur each. At least one back up Excal each. Plus one pulse machine each. Both are normally Barracudas'. We might have a CZ20, a Stingray, a waterproofed Silver Sabre, a Tiger Shark and anything else we feel like trying that day.
If the sand is in..out come the pulses...if the sand is out...out comes the Excaliburs...if it is an old site with lots of iron..we will grab a Tesoro.
Relic hunting I am stuck on my Cibola right now. It is just what I want to swing all day and know I am not passing much up. When I get into a very trashy downtown lot I will try out my new MXT. I wore out a CZ5 when they first came out in downtown trashy lots just digging everything that was three inches and below. Had lots of luck doing that and want the ability to do it again. May not need the MXT for a year but it will be there when I want it. Also will use the MXT on salt water beaches. I have seen it do some very good things on the beach.
I bought a dang Garret 250 to see what all that hoopla was about. That's about all I got to say about the yellerfeller. It did not fit my style of hunting. Great machine for what it was made for. Just not my cup of brew. Still got it. Gonna use it for a "guest" detector. Easy to use..got ID and other features. Just what I need to let a newbie get his feet wet.
So all in all..I will hunt with a pie plate on a stick if it works. I don't advertise here so it is not fair for me to post a link to our website. But if you go over TDHERE...you might read my post again over TDHERE..and find a great place to buy a Tesoro.
Lord I hope this post ain't hurt anyones feelings. Lots of folks read my messages wrong sometimes. You just gotta have a funny bone in your body somewhere in order to take my firmly planted "tongue in cheek" Southern humor. If ya ain't got a funny bone please! please! pass em up. Life is too dang short to get yore drawers in a wad over an internet message. Right RentaSquirell???
Hope ya'll have a great week this week.
