Here is another livery button I found today. This button was made by Pitt & co who were located at 50 st martins lane london between 1875 & 1895 in 1895 Pitt & co relocated to 31 Maddox street london where they remained till 1973. So this button can be dated between 1875 & 1895 according to my internet research.
 
looks like someone well to do wore it who knows maybe they lost something to go with it
