Here is an interesting place with crazy history behind it.

We have been racing there this winter on the ice. I got to doing a little research on it as to how it got its name, which is Hell Hollow.
In the link you can see the panorama pictures of the lake in summer and in my shots, what it looks like now. I took my GPS with me as I wanted to do some Geocaching. They prefer you hunt them at night time as many are in the spots where the spooky things have happened. It was pretty iced in in the trails going out back so I passed on it, but did more research on the caches. Should be a great hunt later this spring.

Once you read down to the Devils Den, it fills you in on the parts where the caches are and why. If you google earth them and have Kml activated you can see the caches and what they are about.

Here is the link......

Here are a few pictures I took while there. It was 8 above, but that just met if you fell down on the ice, you would not get wet while skidding a crossed it. This is one rugged area. Thick woods with all kinds of blow downs, huge rocks etc.

And I wanted to post something also. Been major busy and today I found a little slack time.

Also, here is a short helmet cam clip from Sunday from the bike.

i liked that four stoke flattracker/iceracer
I noticed that a soon as your got your groove you passed that guy:clapping:

are great bikes for the ice. You can pick them up cheap, old style suspension is fine on ice, no major bumps there unless we start running over the islands. I'll get you another picture out of a few more of them the guys built up. Fun way to break the cabin fever blues.

Now that would be fun. We got a lot of shallows ponds in this area and in the summers months they would dry up and get a surface slick mud on top, When I was young we would take dirt bikes out there and play in the mud, kinda like the riding you guys are doing on the ice. I loved those days of fun in the sun.

a lot of fun. I'm very active in a dirt bike club. We do motocross, enduros, Trials, Hare Scrambles and road rides. You can check us out at central Cycle Club. I'm the webmaster also and enjoy doing that. Not being a spring chicken anymore, but still like to ride dirt also. Age 68 here. I don't race, but still like to throw a leg over a dirt bike or quad. We have a big storm coming tomorrow so that will mess up the ice racing unless one of the guys in the club plows it off.
