Here is a some gold that I get about 4 inches.

The peice is not as thick as the penny but is close on half of it. I took it the creek today, and found alot of nails, pull tabs, and bottle caps. O and a big ball of foil. I was able to GB it very quick. I would like to see it get more responseve toward the gold. Its kinda quite. With the four inches is just an esstimate air test. Down by the creek, it did ok it did gb good, and was a little chipy, but was able to find a lot of targets with it. I must of found 20 items in 45min to an hr. IT was junk, but found alot of stuff. Well getting ready for day 2 with the gold bug...

I found the peice with my sluice a while back not the detector. Im going to do some more test with it on the smaller gold. I even found some small lead sinkers with it today, about the size of some small buck shot. To bad it wasent gold.

Using my Gold Bug:
I air tested a 6 grain Gold flake with the 5"DD coil @ 5"-6" and using the 11"DD coil at 5"-7".
and recently detected some flour Gold in a creek at about 5" with the black sand using the 5"DD coil.
This was found here in North Idaho, and as soon as the Creek waters calm down, I will be going after
the gold nuggets.

Nice. Im making adjustments to mine. Im planning on doing some test's tomorrow with it. The ground I was in was full of trash. I must of dug at least 4 items of no intrests. I think they disrupted my GB.

Hi 33, I think you can do better than 4" , I can get almost that with my MXT with the 10" coil.
