Way-ta-go Mark :clapping: ... That is an amazing heap of silver... Some of those are absolutely stunning... Can't wait to see what 2010 brings you...

Hawkeye Jim.

??? - how much difference do you think the 10.5" Double D MF coil had compared to the regular concentric coil.

Hi Jim,

A round here the ground is a lil on the hot side. It's normal for me to see GB numbers in the teen's and the DD type coil is better suited for my type of ground so I feel that I get better depth with the DD coil over the stock concentic coil. Also a lot of places that I go to are loaded with pieces of iron and the DD deals with those types of places a lot better. At least I feel it does, lol. Most old coins around here are in the 4" to 7" range, but I have been to a few places that I have dug IH's and silver dimes as deep as 10" to even 12" deep and with the type of ground that I have around here I don't think that the concentric coil would be able to go that deep.

Congrats again on a very successful season. HH Randy

Thanks for the info --- I don't think I have ever dug a silver dime or IH over 7 inches deep, at least not up my way --- either that or they are out of the range of my detector. Jim

Minus 19 here this mornin' that pic of all that cold old hard cash didn't help me nun:rofl:

Nice pic, yep it got the blood flowing a little quicker.

Congrats on a great year of hunting Mark! I would be happy with a 1/4 of that. You sure do hit the silver, Beale.

Mark,
You have had a great year with those finds... I don't know if this is an average year for you or not, but whatever you have been doing, stick with it.
Thanks for showing your finds,
Felix

That makes for a good pic. Been a good year for many of us. Me not in the coin count, but in the new hobby and the reasonable amount of time it took me to learn my machine.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments,

Lizardchaser, -19 now that's cold. You must live way up north. Last night we got down to 4 above and I think that's too cold.

fwcrawford, this year was above average for me, way above.

TURNMASTER, Yep, a lot of us has had a good year with the help of everyone on this forum. The more you learn about what your MD'er is telling you, the easier it is to find what your looking for.
