This one is good for 6" + depth on coins. You don't have to use it all as it's adjustable, but it's nice to know the depth is there if you need it.

Haven't received final selling price, but it should be in the $189. range.

That looks like a nice unit. I have seen a couple of new pinpointers on the market recently. This one looks good. let us know if you do a field test. i would like to know how it works in the field, Beale.
 
I have been using the original one, (Uni-Probe), for about 3 years. It was the most powerful pinpointer on the market until this new model came out.

This one has a complete, full power, PI detector built into it. It's the basic Headhunter PI circuit inside it. One can literally scan the probe tip over the ground, and detect coins at over 6". Of course one can turn it down to lower it's depth.
