I came across this site this afternoon and figured that some of you folks might want to take a look and see if there might be a photo contest that might be of interest to you. The article states that entering a photo contest is an excellent method to use to improve your photography skills. Do not enter ANY photo contest. When you enter those you sign away ALL of your rights to the photo, in other words a company uses the PHOTO CONTEST to lure anyone into sending their pics in to enter the contest. If you read the fineprint it says they can use the photos for anything they want forever. The company could be lets say an advertising company. So they get thousands of pictures sent to them, they use what they want then they sell the rest to other companies and make thousands if not millions of dollars on the pictures everyone sends in. It is legal and they profit a lot of money and very rarely give out prizes.
