Temp 40 + degrees feels like a heat wave. That parts good right ??

Now the bummer part...Snow 18" at least all around. Can't detect..can't see the ground.

I see the same , except where there has been a little melting ,
water with ice floating, and thats on my patio
Spring cannot come soon enough !

Terri

We haven't even had enough snow for the schools to get out for at least 2 years. It's certainly gotten cold enough but never with snow.

Don't tell me you are tired of snow ice cream???

Man, I'd sure love some.

We still got a little winter left.

We have been known to have snow, sometimes twice a year....:)

Hope you can get ta detectin soon,

Tabdog

We went out looking for new places to hunt today. Did some foot patrol, no machines. Still was about 6 inches on the ground. Got to do the research now, so we can have some new stomping grounds, when it finally does melt. I agree winter stinks!!!:rage:

Thanks TD..it won't be that long.."Maybe"

And I so need to get this SE out and try it. As it stands I am so tempted to trade it for an F75 and get back to what I know.

H.H..........

i don't see why you guys cant increase you detecting finds as snow acts much like sand once an item is dropped it sinks below the surface making it harder to find.
i see some detectorists adjust there hunting style to suit detecting in the snow & they do quite well to. you just need to hit areas that have lots of people playing in the snow :detecting:

I hope spring arives soon Elton! I am hunting as much as I can. I have not run across any old stuff yet just clad. I am happy though at least I can hunt, Beale.

that makes it worse:rolleyes: We were under 10" here too...but the 40 degree temps melted it yesterday. Now we have clear ground...nice warm temps....but that's just a tease because I can't dig in it anyway. it's frozen solid:thumbdown: This bites:veryangry:

Soon Bryce, and then we can all get out hopefully.
