Here is a bit of good info

to know for you folks not familuar with hunting pasture land and places frequented by such critters of the herding kind. Keep as close a watch on your parked vehicles as you can, as cows especially are like a bunch of bad young-uns and will be doing their very best to investigate every square inch of them in order to lick /chew/ bite /knaw/scrape/strip any piece of molding/weatherstriping/decor or whatever from your vechicle.Put windows up.Most time they may not be so intent, but sometimes they may be more agressive. I have known this for many years and last week was reminded once again when my Truck was assaulted by about 35 head of cattle.I had been watching while dertecting and almost did not get to the truck in time to run them all back before damage was done. Every one of them it seems had got a lick in and had put on a big mess of cow slopper/snot while searching something to sink a tooth into This bunch had been really nosy with their inspection. Their tongues alone can strip stuff if they can get a tight enough wrap on it. And there is almost always a young bull that will do his best to put you on the move too. These usually will move on so long as you yourself don't back down, but that is not to say you should push you luck with them. Be aware and if you ever come into such a situation, just take precauation best you can. HH, Charlie

My friend lost the radio antenna on his truck while we were hunting a pasture. The cows licked his truck all over.
