anyone know how to tell if the heart is silver?

If it is most likely it would be marked. What is the mark on the ring?

it was a late nite hunt in my neighbors yard

there is no markings on it its just heavy and really looks like silver

Those are some very neat finds Travis. Waive the heart over yourcoil. If it gives a high number, it will be silver.

Would be marked on the inside by the number 925 or Sterling Silver.
