Here are some UK trip photos courtesy of a wet rainy day ....

A few weeks prior to leaving Keith and I were trying to "pimp" Bubba by telling him to not forget to take and pack a tie to wear for breakfast every day. We told him breakfast was served on the fancy "family" side of the pub and "diggin" clothing would not be appropriate.

Keith and I knew Bubba did not believe us so we arranged to have a couple TUX bow ties in our luggage to wear for our first breakfast at the B&B.

Here is Bubba waiting for breakfast our first morning.

And here iis Keith and I ready to enter the pub dining room and then the 3 of us during breakfast.

Here we are with Brian and Mo (Murial) our UK friends during our field lunch.

Probably the best find so far is this bronze Roman ring found by Brian. The stone is missing so we don't know if it was a signet ring, a ring with a seal, or just a ring with a fancy stone.

Didn't detect today due to rain. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow.

.... even though it rained all day yesterday, we got to detect all day today. My best find of the day today was a hammered silver penny ... it's in REAL bad shape but it's still a fun find. Found lots of greenies, a pendent, and a 1/4 OZ balance scale weight.

.... starts with coffee, orange juice, and cereal. Later we are served toast and a plate of sausage, black pudding, bacon (ham / Canadian bacon), eggs, fried mushrooms, and fried tomatoes.

The fields we are hunting have just had crops removed or have just been drilled for fall winter crops.
