a trip I was supposed to be on last week at my buddy Garys in Washington State. He comes here to ride the bikes, and me there but I had to cancel out on this one at the last minute. He sent me a few pictures of one of the places we were going to. See what window
opens up in August.... These were taken up at Mt. Rainier.... He lives right by Mt St Helens and this is a easy run on the bikes....

That is beautiful country, perfect for bike camping. I think it would be fun to spend the summer biking across the U.S. and camping at night. Thanks for sharing. Kelley (Texas) :)

day to day life gets in the way at times. Family first. I can work on another date for later. He gets busy after August with all his hunting trips. He hunts antelope in Wyoming sometime in September, then on to Elk the rest of the year. In between all that he comes back east here to visit. He uses my daughters bike here and we ride as often as we can. His girlfriend is back east here so he gets back here 4 or 5 times a year for 3 or 4 weeks each time.... He has a home here and out there so needs to do work on them to keep them looking good. We grew up together and used to do a lot of hunting and fishing together. He still does it all , but I've backed off on both of them. This retirement stuff is crazy. I keep wondering where I ever found the time to work all those years with so much to do...

We spend 6 weeks out that way a few years ago. Beautiful country for sure.... We made a grand tour of Washington, Oregon, Utah, Colorado and Nevada. He and his girlfriend and Jane and I really had a great time hiking, horse rides in Bryce Canyon Utah, and Zion National Park. We did some also in South Dakota at Mt. Rushmore also... Did a fair amount of detecting in any remote lakes we found. Many I think never saw a detector.... Amazing what it still out there laying around for a coil to pass over it. Got a 5th wheel here and a dually diesel ready to go, just can't get the long term interest to drive it for 6 weeks again.. Age thing I guess.... Body is sending me the messages, I just don't always choose to listen to it...

That bike is a 1500 cc Kawie. Thats the one I usually ride out there. Really fun out there in the mountains. He keeps wanting us to move out there but all my kids are back east here but one along with all the grand kids so not likely I would move there to stay.

Here is a shot of Gary back here on my daughters bike....150 HP....one fast unit.....
