HELP!!!!

Recently purchased a used Etrac and love it! Was out using it awhile back and noticed the coil was wobbling a little bit. After further checking found the "ears" where the bolt goes thru that attaches it to the rod had cracked. I am sure the coil is out of warranty since the unit is about 3 years old. What fix is there to making this coil useable again? Feel really bad because the whole unit looked brand new when I received it, even the coil-still not sure what happened cause I try to be careful when handling it. Not sure if I over tightened the bolt and nut or what!
Thanks
Mike
PS-one of the "ears" is now completely severed from coil.

I hate when things go wrong. You will have to modify this coil. You can use PVC plastic, shredded
into small pieces and get some MEK and make a glue out of it.You'll have to fabricate the new ears (PVC)
though and drill new holes into the new fabricated ears. Time consuming,Yes but better than tossing
a good coil with a minor issue. When making the glue use the shredded pvc and mix in a jar with minimal
amount of MEK and cover for a few days in a small glass jar.You want a gooey mixture. The Mek will
break down the PVC and form a rock hard glue after she dries... Hope this can help you out
