hi all im from England and have good history in mine and my friends permission but cant help thinking that im setting up wrong I have got from an ace 250 to a teknetics g2 I dnt really know what im doing with it dnt actually know the dials and buttons do so if someone could put it lamen terms so its easier to understand I would be very greatful. currently turn left dial to 12o.clock position then the right to about 12 then ground balance switch right dial off then press right arrow to 39 then turn left dial to 85-100 hope you can make sense of that thanks in advance

Read the instruction manual friend. The G2 is very simple to set up & make great finds with.

Sounds just perfect what you do as described.

Left dial is sensitivity/gain turn on to start at 12 o'clock position.

Right dial you have in ALL METAL then turning knob to the right after passing the click point you are now in all metal stop at the 12 o'clock position and then you pump the coil up and down to ground balance and the number on the screen is the ground balance number. I believe you can change it with some arrows on the face of the machine up or down as needed.

Then by turning the right knob all the way to the left till it clicks and it's now in the discrimination mode. Pushing the right arrow dials up the TONE BREAK POINT so low iron grunting sounds is 39 and under and VCO higher sound is 40 to 100.

Turning up the left knob to the right further till 100 increases the sensitivity.
